Cornerboard® is manufactured from recycled paper and plastic with a paper outer wrap which results in a high-strength, moisture-resistant board that is most commonly used for strap protection and ideal for wet climates, overseas and flat bed truck shipments, outside storage and exposure to high humidity. The inclusion of plastic in the board allows it to be exposed to moisture for extended periods of time without breaking down.
The use of strapping helps to stabilize your load but can possibly cause crushing damage at the corners. Corner boards allow you to create a buffer between the load and the strapping, so that the strapping can be tightened without causing product damage.
