The ribbed material is available in 8", 12", or 16" widths in both standard temperature and U.S.D.A. Low-Temp material for cooler and freezer applications. Wall and ceiling mount hardware is available in lightweight aluminum or heavy duty galvanized steel. Different overlap configurations can be utilized for certain requirements.

The Full-Rib design of these Strip Curtains / Strip Doors let the rib take the impact of truck and lift traffic preventing scratching and tearing as well as grease and grime build up. The ribs run vertically 2 inches apart on both sides of the strips allowing them to lock together and maximize their effectiveness as a thermal barrier, saving energy dollars and creating a more comfortable working environment.

Flexible Strip Curtains / Strip Doors
Model 80 is recommended for doors up to 8' high.
Model 120 is recommended for doors to 30' in height. Exterior doors more than 10' high should be of the shiplap or double layer type.
Experience has shown in that the shiplap configuration is the most effective in windy or negative pressure situations.
| |
Note: While strip curtains / strip doors will not stop winds nor solve negative pressure conditions in a building, they will significantly reduce the effect of light breezes. When specifying strip curtains, attention must be given to the door size, wind direction and wind velocity relative to desired results of installation.
In tunnel or corridor situations, two or more Necor strip doors placed at intervals will usually control most of these difficult problems.
Improve air screen effectiveness on cooler/freezer openings by creating a vestibule with Necor strip curtains / strip doors. Strips should be hung on each end of the airscreen all the way back to the door opening to prevent warm air leaking into the cold room around the edges of the airscreen.

How to select the most effective Necor Strip Doors:
- On interior doors to 8 ft. in height with little or no air movement through the opening, use Model 80S strip doors with 50% overlap, or 80D (100%) for more difficult applications where maximum ease of opening for personnel is important.
- On exterior doors to 30 ft. and interior doors where there is a draft through the opening, use Model 120S strip curtains with the shiplap configuration or the 120D (100% overlap).
- For sound barriers, either Model 80 or Model 120 strip curtains can be used effectively. Tests have shown that noise levels can be reduced over a range from about 7 to more that 15 dB.

Necors exclusive Tear-Drop Edge
Exclusive Tear-Drop Edge design won’t snag or scratch, fights wear, promotes positive closing, creates better thermal seal. Ordinary doorstrips have squared edges that can snap or scratch and are vulnerable to ripping or tearing. The patented Necor design strongly reinforces the edge of the strip with a unique Tear-Drop configuration that gives superior performance and longer life. The Necor Tear-Drop Edge also greatly reduces the problem of static adhesion, so strips separate easily under pressure. The airspace, formed along the edge of the overlapping strips, also acts as a thermal barrier to provide additional effectiveness in temperature control.
