In the coastal town of Sitka, a seafood fishing company found itself having employee safety concerns outside of their facility. They were in need of a sturdy shelter to help keep their fishermen safe when unloading operations would take place or stormy weather conditions outside of their processing plant. Tasked with finding the perfect solution, they turned to DACO. Collaborating closely with Starrco, a manufacturer of modular buildings, they worked together to engineer a solution to aide with the safety of their employees.

Reducing Disturbances:

Having detailed discussions to understand the unique needs and processes of the Sitka seafood fishing company, DACO received the measurements and dimensions of the dock area. Recognizing the importance of minimizing disruption to the company’s operations, DACO and Starrco determined that integrating a preassembled building could shelter the fisherman on the company’s dock space while meeting their specific requirements. This approach allowed for swift installation with minimal on-site construction, ensuring that the shelter could be operational quickly.

With the drawings and plans finalized and the color choice approved, DACO and Starrco quickly moved into the implementation phase. The custom solution was successfully installed on the dock, providing the fisherman a place to take shelter outdoors. The construction, seamless integration, and gray finish added, the building delivered a tailored industrial solution that exceeded expectations.
