Empty Outdoor Area Transformed into a Dynamic Storage Solution
The Challenge:
Waste Connections was in need of additional storage in their facility, but they did not have the room to add inside of the building. With their already built arch covering outside of their facility, that was empty underneath, a solution could be added. They decided to contact DACO to enhance their daily workflow by creating a solution, filling their empty outdoor area.
Filling the Empty Space:
This outdoor solution would need to enhance their already arch covered area, while ensuring it creates a durable storage for their facility. Together, Waste Connections and DACO designed a racking system for the empty space that could withstand the elements and maximize space utilization.
Overcoming an Unforeseen Obstacle:
During a crucial job site visit, the ground revealed a sloped drain right in the middle that could potentially halt the project or a need to change direction. Thankfully, the drain did not compromise the process of the project and the job could move forward. To complete the project, DACO sourced out for multiple parts and materials. From the shores of California, they procured the racking for the job site. Meanwhile, wire decking, a vital component, was produced from our own inventory, ready to be added to the project.
Assembling the Puzzle Pieces:
DACO coordinated all of the components of the project to arrive, logistically, at the same time to the site. Installation crews brought in lift equipment and the once empty area was transformed into a storage space solution with the Arch’s racking system completed.
